Harkness State Park and Eolia Mansion Wedding . Connecticut Wedding Photographer

Harkness State Park is a 230 acre former farm and mansion covered in gorgeous structures that nature has begun to reclaim. As soon as I found out about the earthy, sprawling, property I knew I wanted to create a fall farm and garden wedding inspiration shoot there that my couples would love. I envisioned something organic, farm-to-table, and elegant without being fussy and I assembled a super talented team of mostly Connecticut wedding professionals. A month later, I have so much respect for the Planners and Event Designers who do all this work for a living. I think I'll stick to just photography in the future! :)

This shoot is also featured on Junebug Weddings.

Essex Steam Train and Lace Factory Wedding . Connecticut Wedding Photographer

I'm so happy I got to play a part in Amanda and Nick's wedding. They wanted to get married somewhere drenched in heritage as a fitting start to their story, so they chose the historic Essex Steam Train station for their ceremony and the 1875 Lace Factory in Deep River for their reception. The wedding was just my style: full of personal details and a laid back vibe for guests to dance all night and show their love for their sweet, thoughtful friends. No bridal party, few formalities, tons of special touches. Here are a few of my favorites.

This wedding was second shot with the amazing Becka Pillmore.

Parisian Elopement at the Nomad Hotel . New York Elopement Photographer

Shooting Ana from Crafted and her man, Alex at the NoMad Hotel in NYC was seriously rad. Designed by Jacques Garcia, The NoMad was inspired by an old picture of an apartment in Paris where he lived in his 20s! A killer team of vendors brought this creative shoot to life all over the grounds. And then I got the best breakfast of my life at the hotel restaurant. Try the brown sugar oatmeal. Just trust me.

This shoot was also published on the Venue Report.

Mid Century Modern Anniversary Shoot . Upstate NY Anniversary Photographer

Aoife and Taylor have known each other since they were children and have been a couple for over a decade! They're business owners and new parents to an adorable baby girl. They love to make things together, travel all over the world, and are adorably physical with one another--often wrestling and throwing each other around during the shoot. They're both comedians in their own right, but Taylor was taking the lead cracking us all up throughout the session.

These two are complementary personalities and forces in each other's lives, always encouraging the other to grow and succeed. Aoife wanted to document what their relationship looks like right now, saying "In 50 years I hope we are still dancing. I know there will be lots of ups and downs and some adventures mixed in too. I hope these photos remind us of everything we are and everything that is truly important in our lives. I am sure we will look back and think those were the easy days. And maybe in some ways they are/were." Their snowy lifestyle shoot in Upstate New York had a relaxed yet sophisticated modern vibe.
